According to information found on the website named "www.KingRama9.net" there are various locations throughout the country listed where the public can express their mourning for the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. A longstanding Thai tradition is to offer sandalwood flowers, which will be used later during the Royal Cremation Ceremony. To make it more convenient to find these locations, the public can use the JS100 application in conjunction with Nostra Map which has special map layers. The functionality of these layers allows users to find the sandalwood flower offering points in and around Bangkok as well as throughout the recently added locations across the country. In total, at the time of writing, there are 84 replicas of the Royal Crematorium and 991 sandalwood flower offering sites nationwide.
1. Go to the JS100 app and select "Map." Also, make sure that your GPS/Location Services is enabled.
2. Tap on the "Layers" symbol in the top right corner.
3. Tap "Sandalwood Flower-Laying Ceremony," then, go back to the "Map" page.
4. The offering points are represented by golden yellow flower symbols while the blue dot with a flashing circle around it represents your current location.
5. Once you've found the offering site of your choice, select it to get more information. In the pop up menu at the bottom of the screen, select the "Routes" symbol to get directions by using the Nostra Map app (app must be installed to use navigation).
In addition, JS100 invites everyone to send us real-time traffic reports. There will be a higher than usual amount of people on the roads participating in the various ceremonies and everybody's help is welcomed. Reports can be submitted by using a variety of methods; to reach JS100 online, our Twitter handle is @js100radio, our Facebook page is JS100 Radio, and our LINE account is @JS100. Your vital information will be added to our "Incidents" feature and updated frequently. These reports help the general public, many of whom may come from the provinces in the next couple of weeks, so all of us helping together as a community will aid everyone in planning trips appropriately.
