5 Cool Places Worth Visiting In Ratchaburi

Ratchaburi is an ancient city of Dvaravati kingdom  whose center was Nakhon Pathom.  It is said that Nakhon Pathom was the center of spreading Buddhism.  Ratchaburi city itself had been moved its city center for many years, until 1897 the city center was located at the present City Hall.





 


Ratchaburi Museummeung

Ratchaburi National Museum is located in Meung district. The edifice had been built in 2465 BE,  during the reign of King Rama VI, and was restored to establish as a National Museum in 2431 BE. This beautiful building was formerly Ratchaburi City Hall, influenced by western architecture which was so popular  during the reign of king Rama V-VI. Historical and archaeological exhibitions showing anthropology, geology, folk arts, fishing equipment and culture of different races in Ratchaburi.

The Blooms Orchid Park

This orchid park contains so many breeds and types of orchid which were taken turn displaying. Such a picturesque spot to enjoy regardless how little knowledge about orchids you might have.  It is a real park with coconut plants, rice field, cosmos field and plenty of activities to enjoy such as feeding sheep,  feeding ducks, and bicycle rental.

Dam Neon Saduak Floating Market

The most popular market of Ratchaburi province!Today it attracted so many tourists, both local and foreigner, to experience the Thai traditional trading and life style. You can walk along the shore to buy local products, taste local food which come in the boats. Most of goods are fresh local fruits such as pomelo, banana, longan, mango and rose apple straight from the farm in a very fair price. Don’t you ever miss trying noodle in the boat!
