Bueng Phalan Chai

Wat Buraphaphiram

It is located in Roi Et city. There is the tallest standing Buddha image in Thailand known as Phra Phuttha Rattanamongkhon Mahamuni or Luangpho Yai created in 1973 ,which was built with reinforced concrete in the blessing attitude. The Buddha image is 59.2 metres tall and if the base is included, it would be 67.85 metres tall. There is a museum at the base. Luangpho Yai is highly-revered by the people of Roi Et.  Luangpho Yai is also a symbol of the province and appear in the motto of the city of Roi Et.


Chedi Maha Mongkhon Bua

Chedi Maha Mongkhon Bua was built to be a memorial of Phra Thammawisutthi mongkhon or Luangta Maha Bua Yannasampanno, the revered Buddhist monk of Wat Pa Ban Tat. Being used as a place for expounding Dhamma and practices of the Lord Buddha’s teaching by followers of the master monk, This Chedi is the most useful pagoda in the area .The lower floor will have a room preserved Thai folk songs and you can listen to all music is located at Muang Roi Et.


Ban Wai Luem

It is located in Thung Khao Luang District, Roi Et. The village famous for silk weaving is part of the province’s One Tambon One Product (OTOP) project, so it is also the distribution centre for local handicraft products such as handbags, cotton, and ready-to-wear clothes. Phra Maha Chedi Chai Mongkhon

Located in Nong Phok District, Roi Et. Phra Maha Chedi Chai Mongkhon is one of Thailand’s largest pagodas. It was designed by the Fine Arts Department. It is the center of mind and power of faith in the Roi Et. The wall is wide. Surrounded by more than 7,000 square kilometers of enclosed forest covers the area of 3 provinces: Roi Et, Kalasin, Mukdahan. The white body is embellished with golden motifs, and surrounded by smaller pagodas in the eight directions. The large chedi is 101 x 101 x 101 metres, standing on an area of 101 rai. The pagoda’s finial covered with the umbrella of solid gold is 109 metres  and weighing 4,750 Baht or 60 kilogrammes. It houses the relics of the Lord Buddha, and is beautifully decorated with a mixture of ancient and contemporary styles of art, which is rarely seen. This great pagoda is situated in the compound of Wat Chedi Chai Mongkhon.
